Cesar Chavez
He grew up in a migrant farm labour family. He was always interested in the rights of farm laborers and even led a boycott of California Grape pickers, which lasted for 5 years. Before this, he served a two-year stint in the US Navy, and there is a street in San Francisco that is called Cesar Chavez street, named after his accomplishments in the US Navy.
